Commencement of New Voyage.......Dealing with Books!!!!

After getting various bounces, I was finally able to put my right leg......

I have started reading books few months before so as to get the answer of various questions that are in my mind. They are-

  • What is so special and advantageous in reading books?
  • Why Professors of my college are so dedicated towards developing the reading habit within us?
  • Why they always talks about books and usually make a statement like “Read a Lot”?
  • Whether this is the gizmo which has given my peers a competitive edge on me?
Slowly and steadily I was some-how able to develop this habit. After reading various books now I can understand what the advantages of reading books are. This has also helped me to get answers of the above questions.

Now, I also got the habit of recommending my peers and juniors to read a lot and explaining them the various advantages enclosed with it. But I can understand the views and reactions on my suggestion, as I was also sailing on the same ship few months before. The first reaction on this kind of suggestion of Non-readers, especially Students will be-

“Academics ki books to padh nahi pate…. Dooshri books kese padhege”(in Hindi)

“We hardly able to manage the academic books….. How we will be able read other books”(in English). Luckily I can understand their feelings.

BEST PART OF READING BOOKS- It has only one sigh attached with it “+” (add).

Here are the 3 domineering benefits that I personally feel and experienced in reading books-

1. Upturn in the level of confidence-

Reading books helps in sentence framing, vocabulary building, etc which helps to get an upturn in the level of confidence within us, which eventually result in success.

2. Surge in the level of Understanding-

Reading also helps in upsurging the level of understanding in whatever we read (Non-academics) because reading the books written by different Authors and with different perspective, as per their thinking and deeds will make us enlighten us about different level of thinking and much more.

3. And More Importantly, Concrete Knowledge-

Developing reading habit will surely add to our knowledge. Regardless of the level of knowledge people have within themselves, reading books will enhance the bar of their knowledge. Make sure it will depend on the kind of books that we read. So Selection of books will also play a vital role in enhacing the knowledge and achieving success in life.

I am very grateful to my teachers and peers who insisted me to commence this new voyage. I am very pleased with the commencement of this interminable voyage and would suggest my valuable readers to start in with it.

Readers of are requested to direct their eyes on the right side on My Shelfari desk and they can have a check on the authenticity of this post.
